Reviews

“As an artist herself, Mary Daunt appreciates the value of proper conservation.  Her restoration of works owned by myself has been outstanding.  These works of art were challenging and Mary’s skill and careful handling brought them back to life. I am most appreciative of her efforts on behalf of saving works of art for future generations.” – Arlene Bujese, Art Dealer

“We of the east end who are known as art lovers, collectors and appreciators of art are so fortunate to have Mary Daunt and her talent and great ability as a conservator of art right here in our community. I have had Mary restore a 1952 American modern painting that was scary to consider even touching as the previous owner had put the painting behind a door whose door knob created a hole in the center of the geometric and once pristine canvas. Mary restored this abstract precisionist painting to its original state. Two 1940s ink on paper drawings of the Amagansett Life-Saving Station were very moldy and foxed but Mary cleaned them up and they are in a place of honor at the Station. I’ve been in the fine arts world for over 50 years and I am a big fan of Mary’s and rely on her careful and thorough technical abilities as a conservator of art. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.” – Elena Prohaska Glinn, Art Appraiser and Advisor
